Ingrid Hoffmeister
Born and educated in England, Ingrid moved to the US in 1984 where she received her MA in psychology and practiced as a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California until 2004. Ingrid is also a certified Gestalt Therapist and ‘Core-Somatic’ practitioner (a therapeutic modality that utilizes body memory to heal the psyche). Ingrid has co-facilitated numerous yoga and creative growth workshops both in California and England.
Ingrid’s love of the arts and interest in personal growth began in her early twenties as a Yoga teacher with the British Wheel of Yoga. Over the past eight years she has been involved in the production of local community television and has produced a short documentary film on the environment. Today Ingrid is a freelance writer and painter who continues to explore and study the work of psychologist Carl Jung. She is also a drama student who met her friend and co-facilitator Savannah Sincoff at one of their acting classes.
Ingrid has travelled extensively to Africa, India and Nepal as a volunteer for two non-profit organizations.
Her focus is Chhahari, www.chhahari.org a home for 21 at risk & orphan children in Kathmandu.
Ingrid says, “The older I get the juicier my life becomes. I recognize the importance of making time and holding space for the emergence of my inner and outer creative experiential practices. This brings me great joy and greater freedom to embrace my authentic self, family, community and the earth. I think that is everything!” |
